Which LED beam angle should I choose for a shallow lightbox?
Begin with the frame section and intended light direction. Edge lighting and rear lighting distribute light differently. Compare the selected optics, mounting distance and printed face in an assembled sample; a beam-angle number alone cannot establish uniform illumination.
Does the order of the two beam-angle numbers matter?
An asymmetric beam has different spread along its two axes. Check the supplier’s optical drawing and the bar’s mounting orientation. Rotating the same bar can change how light reaches the face; verify the actual layout before choosing spacing.
