Planning a lightbox prototype after a FLX production walkthrough? This selection helps independent display fabricators turn a sample into a repeatable internal LED assembly. FLX describes production visits alongside frame, print, lighting and assembly processes. Use the visit to define the information your own build team needs, rather than ordering LED bars from a finished display photograph.
Record the tested assembly before releasing the production order
Give the pilot build a drawing revision and a component list. Record the LED model and fixed CCT, usable mounting length, lens direction, bar positions, printed-face material, internal depth and support locations. Include the actual driver, cable and connector arrangement. Mark which measurements come from the frame drawing and which were confirmed on the assembled sample.
Make a lighting change visible to every production station
Keep one approved physical lightbox sample or documented test assembly as the reference for frame fabrication, print and final assembly. If a graphic substrate, cavity depth, LED lens or wiring run changes, label the change and repeat the relevant illuminated-face check before releasing more units. A frame jig controls mechanical repeatability; it does not by itself confirm the same light transmission or illuminated appearance.
Compare LED lightbox sources
- Linkable edge-lit bars: DC24V; 212mm/9W, 319mm/14W or 480mm/20W, with standard 20° × 60° optics. Select a length for each clear mounting section. Maximum five compatible bars per run depends on the actual cable and connector arrangement.
- 20W rigid edge-lit bar: DC24V, 470 × 24 × 16mm including the lens, 2200lm ±10%, 10° × 40° optics. Compare its light path with the usable cavity and brace locations. More output does not by itself establish even illumination.
- 7W mini edge-lit bar: DC24V, 200 × 23 × 16mm, 770lm, standard 20° × 60° optics. Compare it for shorter return sections; a Molex 5557 / Mini-Fit Jr. family designation does not establish a matching connector pinout.
What should go into an LED lightbox assembly record after a production walkthrough?
Include a labelled section drawing, a source layout, the precise model and fixed CCT, a printed-material sample, driver and connection details, and the approved illuminated test result. Record bar quantities for each actual frame design. A product pack size or nominal wattage is not a production layout. Confirm an independently designed build; these parts are not verified FLX replacements.
Can a supplier's illuminated sample be my entire production specification?
No. A finished sample may use different printed media, profiles, lenses or driver wiring from your design. Use it to identify questions, then test the actual materials and components in your own frame. Obtain the maker's approval before servicing a supplied system.
Should I repeat the lightbox test when only the printed fabric changes?
Check the changed fabric in the approved assembly. Ink coverage, diffusion and light transmission can change its appearance even when the frame and LED wattage stay the same. Record the material revision and approve the illuminated result before multiplying the order.
Before ordering
Check that the selected bar and lens fit the clear mounting space and that cables remain accessible after the graphic is fitted. Use a compatible external DC24V constant-voltage driver for the actual connected load. Verify pinout, polarity and permitted runs on the selected components. Book and confirm a FLX visit directly with its team; BOOTH LIGHTS supplies components separately.
Send your pilot frame section, approved graphic material, source-layout drawing and proposed quantity. Tell us which LED or construction detail is still undecided. Compare all 26 LED Modules products below and request a component quote tied to your tested assembly revision.
