swissQprint Open House introduces print applications. Its published signmaking case shows a fabric lightbox with an illuminated white logo and an opaque blue background. This collection helps lightbox makers distinguish graphic masking from internal lighting decisions.
Map the areas intended to transmit light
Keep a marked artwork reference identifying illuminated and opaque zones. Confirm the printed face and blocking layers with the print supplier before selecting a lighting layout.
Check the assembled face against the zone map
Test the intended graphic, LED layout and power supply together. Review logo illumination and unwanted light transmission separately. Record any change to print layers or lighting before approving a replacement sample.
Compare LED lightbox sources
- 20W rigid edge-lit bar: 470×24×16mm including lens, DC24V, 2200lm ±10% and 10°×40° optics.
- 12W dual-CCT rear-backlight bar: DC24V, 1320lm, 180° beam and 3-wire JST; select the CCT pair and separate control.
- 10W slim edge-lit bar: 360×23×16mm including lens, DC24V, 1100lm and 9°×50° optics.
Can stronger LEDs make an opaque printed area illuminate correctly?
No. More light cannot replace the required transparent graphic construction. Verify masking and illumination physically. These modules are independent lightbox sources, not swissQprint printer inspection lights or approved printer parts.
Before ordering
Verify DC24V, total load, pinout and polarity; external power is separate. The dual-CCT bar also requires a compatible 3-wire switch or controller, not included. The featured slim 10W bar permits at most 6 per run after wiring checks; do not apply that limit to other models.
Browse all LED Modules below. Send box depth, face material, the illuminated-zone map and supply requirements to discuss candidates.
