All Our LED Trade Show Arm Lights Are ETL Certified — Here's the Full List

We get asked about certification a lot, especially from exhibitors heading to major convention centers where venue inspectors check electrical equipment before the show opens. So here's a straightforward answer: every LED arm light we sell carries ETL certification from Intertek.

This page covers our full arm light range, what each one is designed for, and how to verify the certifications yourself.

The certification standard

All arm lights listed below were tested by Intertek against:

  • UL 2108 — Low Voltage Lighting Systems
  • UL 8750 — LED Equipment for Use in Lighting Products
  • CSA C22.2 No. 250.0-08 & No. 9.0 — Canadian luminaire standards

Location rating: Dry and Damp — covers all standard indoor exhibition halls and covered semi-outdoor spaces. Valid in both the US and Canada.

Certifications can be verified at productinfo.intertek.com. Contact us if you need a copy of any certificate for venue compliance or procurement.

The ETL certified arm light range

21W LED Display Arm Light — 2,400 lm

The most popular option for standard 10x10 and 10x20 inline booths. 2,400 lm output, DC 24V, linkable up to 10 units. Good balance of brightness and power draw for most trade show setups. If you're not sure which arm light to start with, this is usually the right answer.

21W Linkable LED Trade Show Arm Light (Daisy Chain)

Also 21W, with the same ETL certification. This version is specifically designed and marketed around daisy chain setups — the product name says it, and the hardware backs it up. If you're planning a multi-light chain from a single power source and want a light that's explicitly built for that use case, this is the one. Linkable up to 10 units on DC 24V.

21W Linkable LED Exhibition Spot Light

Same wattage as the standard 21W arm light, but with a tighter beam angle — designed for situations where you want to direct light precisely onto a product or display panel rather than flood the whole booth. Good for jewelry, cosmetics, or any product where focused illumination matters more than broad coverage. Also linkable up to 10 units.

20W COB LED Trade Show Arm Light — 2,000 lm

COB (Chip-on-Board) technology produces a single, smooth light source rather than the multiple point sources you get from standard SMD LEDs. The result is softer shadows and more even illumination — noticeable when you're lighting textured products, fabric displays, or anything where harsh shadows would be a problem. 2,000 lm output, DC 24V.

35W LED Exhibition Arm Light

Sits between the 21W and 50W in terms of output. For booths where 21W isn't quite enough but 50W is more than you need — typically 10x20 or smaller 20x20 setups where you want noticeably brighter lighting without going to full high-output fixtures. DC 24V, linkable.

50W Linkable LED Display Arm Light — 5,000 lm

The high-output option. 5,000 lm for large island booths, double-deck structures, automotive displays, or any setup where you need serious brightness across a wide area. Linkable up to 10 units on DC 24V. Overkill for a 10x10 — right-sized for a 20x20 or larger.

Which one is right for your booth?

Model Output Best for
21W Display Arm Light 2,400 lm 10x10, 10x20 inline booths
21W Daisy Chain Arm Light 2,400 lm Multi-light chain setups, clean cable management
21W Spot Light ~2,000 lm Focused product lighting, jewelry, cosmetics
20W COB Arm Light 2,000 lm Soft, even light; fabric displays, textured products
35W Arm Light ~3,500 lm 10x20 or smaller 20x20 booths needing more output
50W Arm Light 5,000 lm 20x20 island booths, large or tall displays

If you're not sure which model fits your setup, send us your booth size and what you're displaying — we'll give you a straight recommendation.

Why ETL certification matters at trade shows

Major convention centers in the US and Canada — McCormick Place, Las Vegas Convention Center, Javits Center, and others — require NRTL-certified electrical equipment on the show floor. ETL is an OSHA-recognized NRTL certification, accepted wherever UL certification is accepted. Without it, you risk having your lighting flagged during venue inspection on setup day.

Having certified lights isn't just a compliance checkbox. It's also a reasonable indicator that the product was built to a standard, not just priced to a margin.

Common questions

Are all your arm lights on the same ETL certificate?

Each model has its own certification documentation. Contact us for the specific certificate for any model — we'll send it over.

Can I mix different arm light models in the same booth?

Yes, but don't mix them in the same daisy chain. Different wattages draw different current. Use separate chains for different models, each with its own appropriately rated power supply.

Do your lightbox modules also carry certification?

Yes — our LED lightbox modules carry UL certification (file E468193). See the UL certification article here.

How do I verify the ETL certification?

Go to productinfo.intertek.com and search by product or manufacturer. Or contact us and we'll send the certificate directly — some venues ask for it as a PDF during the exhibitor approval process.
