Can ordinary photographic paper replace backlit lightbox media?
Do not assume an opaque paper print will transmit enough light. Ask the printer for media intended for backlighting and assess a sample in the intended box. Match graphic finishing to the frame.
How should I compare white LEDs for a printed photo lightbox?
View the actual printed sample with the candidate source in an assembled box. Compare colour appearance, visible light spots and uniformity across pale and dark areas. CRI alone does not guarantee print colour accuracy.
