Booth Light Buying FAQ
Trade Show Booth Lighting — Frequently Asked Questions
Everything exhibitors ask before buying — answered honestly.
Purchase Decision
1. How bright is this 25W trade show booth light? What booth size is it suitable for?
Output differs by exact 25W model: the fixed-CCT 25W 3250lm listing states 3,250 lm; the 25W Tri-CCT listings state 2,500 lm. These are different fixtures, rather than a brightness range for one model. Compare the product’s beam angle, mounting distance, color-temperature options and included hardware for your graphic or display.
2. How many lights do I need for a 10×10 ft trade show booth?
- 2 lights — Standard illumination
- 3 lights — Enhanced product visibility
- 4 lights — Premium booth presentation
Actual quantity may vary depending on booth height, graphics, and ambient venue lighting. For a 10×20 inline booth, plan for 4–6 units. Island booths (20×20+) benefit from 4–6 of our 50W linkable arm lights.
3. Should I choose 25W or 50W?
- 25W 3250lm Linkable Booth Arm Light — fixed-CCT, broad 120° coverage and lower power draw.
- 25W Tri-CCT Booth Light — switch 3000K/4500K/6000K on one fixture.
- 50W Tri-CCT Linkable Trade Show Light — 5500lm for large graphics, longer mounting distances and changing show environments.
- 50W Black or 50W Silver — fixed-CCT 5500lm options matched to dark or aluminum booth frames.
Choose by verified lumens, beam angle, mounting distance, glare and available power—not wattage alone. Daisy-chain limits vary by model, so follow the exact product listing and venue electrical plan. Read the complete 25W vs 50W comparison.
4. Can lighting make my booth look more premium?
Yes. Professional booth lighting with CRI 90+ enhances product visibility, increases visual contrast, and creates a more engaging visitor experience. Colors appear accurate and vivid — not washed out under artificial hall lighting. It can be one of the most effective visual upgrades in a booth.
5. Why choose clamp-on display lights instead of traditional spotlights?
Clamp-mounted display lights offer fast installation, tool-free adjustment, reusability across events, space-saving design, and easy transport and storage — all critical advantages for exhibitors who move between shows.
6. What industries is this light suitable for?
Suitable for virtually all exhibition and commercial display applications: jewelry, retail, furniture, apparel, consumer electronics, printing and graphics, and corporate exhibitions.
Certification & Compliance
7. Are these lights allowed at U.S. trade show venues?
Certification and acceptance depend on the exact light model, complete installation, event organizer and current venue rules. Some models are listed to UL or ETL standards, while others carry different certifications. Check the product page for the exact model and confirm the current exhibitor manual before installation.
8. Is this suitable for international exhibitions?
International compatibility depends on the exact fixture, input voltage and selected plug. Check model-specific certification documentation against the current exhibitor manual and venue requirements; a certificate alone does not guarantee admission to every event.
9. Will the light overheat during long operation?
LED fixtures generally run cooler than comparable halogen lights, but they still produce heat. Keep ventilation paths clear, follow the stated operating limits and mounting instructions for the exact model, and maintain any clearances required by the event or venue.
10. How long can it operate continuously?
Continuous-operation guidance, rated lifetime and warranty vary by model. Check the specifications on the product page and avoid covering heat-dissipation surfaces during use.
Installation & Compatibility
11. How do I install this trade show display light?
Follow the installation instructions for the exact model and mounting accessory. Confirm the clamp or bracket fits the frame, secure the fixture, and inspect cables and connectors before use. Included hardware and tools required vary by configuration; ask us to check frame measurements if uncertain.
12. Can I install it by myself?
Selected clamp-mounted fixtures support straightforward setup on compatible frames. Follow the product instructions and any venue requirement for an approved electrical contractor; do not modify wiring or exceed circuit and connector ratings.
13. What mounting options are available, and what frame sizes do they support?
Mounting hardware varies by light model and selected configuration. Check the “What’s included” section on the exact product page before ordering. Separate options include dual M8 bolt-fix brackets and M8 sliding block brackets; confirm clamp opening, thread size, slot geometry and frame dimensions for your installation.
14. What if my SEG light box frame is too deep for the clamp?
Use a bracket or clamp that matches the frame profile and the light’s mounting thread. Do not assume a bolt-fix bracket has unlimited fit: confirm the available flat surface, hole spacing, fastener size and load before installation.
15. What’s the difference between the large and small aluminum clamp?
Both clamps fit round and square frames — the difference is size:
- Large Aluminum Clamp — fits frames up to 55mm (2.2") in diameter/depth. The go-to choice for most standard booth structures.
- Small Aluminum Clamp — fits frames up to 31mm (1.2") in diameter/depth. More compact, ideal for smaller-profile frames or tighter spaces.
If your frame is under 31mm, either clamp works — the small one gives a more compact fit. For frames between 31mm and 55mm, use the large clamp.
16. Can I adjust the lighting angle and reposition after installation?
Yes. The fixture supports 359° horizontal rotation and full vertical tilt for optimized beam positioning and product highlighting. Repositioning requires no permanent modification to your booth structure.
17. Will installation damage my booth structure?
Under normal use, the mounting system is designed to provide secure attachment without damaging standard exhibition structures.
Lighting Performance
18. What does CRI 90+ mean and why does it matter?
CRI (Color Rendering Index) measures how accurately a light source reproduces object colors. CRI 90+ provides high color fidelity — products appear closer to their natural appearance. This is especially important for branding, printed graphics, and merchandise displays.
19. What does Triple CCT (3 color temperatures) mean?
Triple CCT allows one fixture to switch between three preset color temperatures using an integrated control switch — no rewiring, no extra purchases. This provides greater flexibility without replacing fixtures.
20. What color temperature is recommended for different industries?
- 3000K–3500K — Warm appearance suitable for hospitality, lifestyle, and premium environments.
- 4200K–4700K — Balanced neutral white suitable for exhibitions, offices, and general commercial displays. Best all-around choice for most booths.
- 6000K–6500K — Cool white suitable for precision display, jewelry, medical, and high-visibility environments.
21. How can I reduce shadows in my booth?
Use multiple fixtures from suitable directions and test overlapping beams on the actual display. Beam angle varies by model: the 25W 3250lm and 35W arm lights list 120°, while the 50W fixed-CCT silver and 50W Tri-CCT models list 60°. Adjust spacing and mounting distance accordingly, avoid visitor glare, and follow the selected model’s connection limit and the venue electrical plan.
22. How can I attract more visitors to my booth with lighting?
Lighting is one of the strongest visual attention factors on a show floor. A bright, well-balanced booth combined with strong color design improves visibility within crowded exhibition environments. Neutral white lighting around 4500K combined with proper fixture positioning provides strong illumination with improved visual comfort and minimal glare.
Purchasing & Operations
23. Can multiple lights be connected together?
Selected models support daisy-chain connection. The permitted quantity depends on the exact model, connector, supply voltage and circuit load. Follow the product-specific connection limit and the venue electrical plan.
24. Can I carry these lights on a plane?
Airline and security rules vary by route, carrier and baggage type. Check the packed dimensions, weight and included components, then confirm current carry-on or checked-baggage requirements with the airline before travel.
25. Are spare parts and accessories available?
Selected accessories including mounting hardware and power cables are available separately. Logo customization is available for volume orders. Volume pricing and project quotations are available upon request.
26. What is the shipping lead time?
Delivery depends on item availability and destination. See our Shipping Policy for current estimates, and contact us before ordering for a fixed event.
Product Comparison
27. Clamp-on Display Light vs Track Light — Which is better for trade shows?
Clamp-on lighting offers portability, quick setup, and reusable installation — ideal for exhibitors who move between events. Track systems are more suitable for permanent retail or showroom installations.
28. LED vs Halogen for exhibition lighting
LED fixtures generally use less power and produce less heat than comparable halogen installations, but performance depends on the specific products. Compare published lumen output, beam, operating limits and rated life; rated hours are not a guarantee of actual service life.
29. Fixed CCT vs Multi-CCT — which should I choose?
- Fixed CCT — Best if your brand aesthetic is consistent across all shows and you always use the same color temperature.
- Multi-CCT — Best if you exhibit at multiple shows with different products, or want flexibility to adapt on-site. One fixture handles everything.
30. CRI 80 vs CRI 90 — does it make a difference?
Yes. Higher CRI generally produces more accurate color rendering and improved presentation quality. For trade show environments where product appearance directly influences buyer decisions, CRI 90+ is the recommended standard.
31. Clamp-mounted vs Floor Spotlights
Clamp-mounted fixtures preserve floor space, simplify installation, and keep your booth layout clean. Floor spotlights require floor space and can create tripping hazards in busy exhibition environments.
32. Why are more exhibition booths switching to LED?
LED fixtures can provide high efficiency, long rated life, lower heat output than comparable halogen fixtures and flexible form factors. Compare the actual output, beam, color quality, mounting and certification of the exact model for the booth.
