Turn a print sample into a lightbox test
Keep the sample’s printer, ink, media and print-side information with it. Agree the backlit application and sample availability with the demo provider. Then evaluate the printed face in your own intended enclosure before ordering the LED components.
Choose the light source for the display
- DC24V linkable edge-lit bars: 212mm/9W, 319mm/14W or 480mm/20W for modular lightbox builds.
- 12W dual-CCT rear-backlight bar: DC24V, 1320lm, 180° beam and 3-wire JST; select the CCT pair and separate control.
- 20W DC24V rigid lightbox bar: 470mm, 2200lm ±10%, for tested indoor SEG and illuminated-sign layouts.
- 7W DC24V compact lightbox bar: 200mm, 770lm, 200×23×16mm body for short frame sections. Check the Molex 5557 / Mini-Fit Jr. connector family, mating pinout and fit before replacement.
What should I keep with a backlit print sample?
Label the printer and ink set, exact media, printed side and finishing method. Keep a matching digital reference if your print provider supplies one. These details identify the graphic being tested; they do not specify the LEDs, enclosure or power supply that your lightbox needs.
Does a small sample determine the LED quantity for a full-size lightbox?
No. A sample confirms only the tested assembly. For the full display, compare illuminated width and height, frame depth, LED-to-face distance and mounting positions. Test the perimeter-bar or rear-bar layout over the complete graphic. Our 200mm and 470mm edge bars have different optics; do not scale quantity from length alone.
How do I request a component quotation after a printer demo?
Send the illuminated width and height, internal depth, face material, cabinet photos and proposed bar links. State the intended supply, dimming or white-channel control, and whether the order is a trial or production run. Confirm the selected pack quantity. The component quotation does not include printing services or a complete lightbox.
Before ordering
LED Modules illuminate a printed face inside a lightbox; they are not complete signs. Confirm connector polarity, driver capacity, thermal conditions and connection limits. Check the selected bar length and product pack quantity. Do not assume outdoor or moisture suitability from a retrofit application.
