Agfa Inkjet Demos LED Modules for Backlit Face Coating Trials

Agfa invites customers to tailored inkjet demonstrations with their own files, and its ink guidance includes backlit graphics. This independent guide is for sign makers selecting internal LED modules when their backlit face specification includes a laminate or protective coating.

Approve the finished face before ordering the light source

Label the printed substrate and each finishing layer. Compare an unfinished reference and the specified finished sample with the same cabinet depth, LED positions, power supply and viewing conditions. Judge transmitted light, haze, visible texture and readability on the finished sample; a reflected-light print inspection is a separate check.

Choose the light source for the display

Will a laminate determine how many LED bars I need?

No universal bar count follows from a laminate name. Test the actual finished face in the intended enclosure. A finish can change the observed transmission or texture; simply adding brighter bars may not correct a poorly transmitting face. Record the approved bar model, positions and face-to-source distance.

Should I change the LED colour temperature while comparing finishes?

Keep the light source and its setting fixed while comparing finishes, so two variables are not changed together. After choosing the face construction, compare the required white-light options separately and repeat approval of the complete assembly at the selected setting.

Does a durable printed face make these modules suitable outdoors?

No. Ink durability or a face coating does not establish the LED module, driver, connector or enclosure protection rating. The featured 20W IP20 model is for indoor use. An outdoor assembly needs separately verified components and enclosure design; this collection does not establish outdoor suitability.

Before ordering

LED Modules illuminate a printed face inside a lightbox; they are not complete signs. Confirm connector polarity, driver capacity, thermal conditions and connection limits. Check the selected bar length and product pack quantity. Do not assume outdoor or moisture suitability from a retrofit application.

Send cabinet photos, internal dimensions, frame drawings, the existing driver specification and proposed product links through our contact page to discuss a trial selection.
