When we spec'd out our 20W lightbox module, the goal was simple: more output for larger displays, without sacrificing efficiency. We had the module independently tested to verify the numbers. Here's what came back.
The test results
Tested at DC 24V operating voltage by a CNAS-accredited laboratory (CNAS L0236, also holding CMA certification and ILAC-MRA recognition). Testing standard: GB/T 24824-2009.

Breaking down the numbers
1,793 lm from an 18.35W draw
That's 97.7 lm/W — which is genuinely good for a DC 24V lightbox module. To put it in context: a lot of modules in this category claim 80–90 lm/W on paper. Getting 97.7 lm/W in an independent integrating sphere test is a different thing entirely.
For a 20W module, 1,793 lm is also a realistic number. You'll see suppliers claiming 2,500+ lm from a 20W module — that's not physically credible. 1,793 lm is what the module actually produces.
6811K color temperature
This is daylight-range white — slightly cooler than the 6500K standard daylight point. For fabric lightboxes and SEG displays, this works well. Graphics printed for lightbox use are typically color-corrected for a 6500K source, and 6811K is close enough that you won't see a visible shift. Blues and whites come through clean, and the overall effect on a backlit graphic is bright and neutral.
Ra 78.9
Same honest answer as with our 10W module: Ra 78.9 is appropriate for a lightbox backlight. The light passes through a fabric graphic before reaching the viewer, which diffuses it and reduces the practical impact of CRI. For direct product illumination, you'd want CRI 90+. For backlit displays, Ra 78–80 is the industry standard and it's what this module is designed for.
10° × 40° beam angle
Narrower than the 10W module (which is 15° × 60°). The tighter beam on the 20W version is intentional — it's designed for deeper lightbox frames where you need the light to travel further before spreading. The asymmetric pattern (narrow on one axis, wider on the other) ensures even coverage across the face of the display without hot spots at the center.
How it compares to the 10W module
We also have a 10W module that went through the same testing process. Here's a side-by-side:

The 20W module produces roughly twice the light output at higher efficiency. The narrower beam angle suits deeper frames. If you're lighting a standard shallow lightbox (under 80mm depth), the 10W module is usually sufficient. For larger or deeper frames — 100mm+ depth, or displays wider than 1.5m — the 20W module gives you the output to maintain even brightness edge to edge.
About the testing lab
Both modules were tested by the National Testing Center for LED Application Products, holding CNAS L0236 accreditation. CNAS (China National Accreditation Service) operates under the ILAC mutual recognition arrangement, meaning results are recognized in Europe, North America, and most other major markets. The lab also holds CMA certification, which is required for official product testing in China.

Common questions
Which module should I use — 10W or 20W?
For most standard lightboxes under 80mm depth and up to about 1.2m wide, the 10W module works well. For larger displays, deeper frames, or situations where you need maximum brightness, go with the 20W. If you're not sure, send us your lightbox dimensions and we'll give you a straight recommendation.
Can I mix 10W and 20W modules in the same lightbox?
Not recommended. Different wattages produce different brightness levels, which will show up as uneven illumination across the display face. Use the same module throughout a single lightbox.
What power supply do I need for the 20W module?
DC 24V. Size your power supply based on the total wattage of all modules connected to it, plus a 20% safety margin. For example, 4 × 20W modules = 80W total; use a 100W+ power supply.
