Linkable LED Trade Show Lights — Daisy Chain Booth Lighting Systems
Linkable LED Trade Show Lights
Linkable LED trade show lights connect in series from a single power outlet — a wiring method called daisy-chaining. Instead of running individual cables from each light back to a power strip, you run one cable to the first unit, then short cables from unit to unit along your panel frame. The result is cleaner cable management, fewer floor hazards, and a more professional-looking booth.
How Daisy-Chain Wiring Works
Each linkable unit has two power ports: an input port (receives power from the previous unit or the wall) and a pass-through output port (sends power to the next unit). You connect them in sequence: wall outlet → Unit 1 → Unit 2 → Unit 3, and so on. All units in the chain operate simultaneously from the single wall connection.
Maximum Chain Length
BOOTH LIGHTS linkable trade show lights support a maximum of 6 units per chain at 100–240 V AC. This covers the most common booth configurations: a 10x20 inline booth typically uses 4–6 lights, a 10x10 booth uses 2–4. For larger island booths requiring more than 6 units, run two separate chains from two outlets.
Cable Management Advantages
With daisy-chain wiring, all inter-unit cables run along the top of your panel frame — out of sight and out of reach. Only one cable drops from the frame to the floor outlet. This eliminates the tangled power strip setup that makes booths look temporary and creates trip hazards for visitors and staff.
Venue Compliance
Most major trade show venues (McCormick Place, LVCC, NEC Birmingham, Messe Frankfurt) require that all electrical connections be made by licensed electricians or use pre-approved low-voltage fixtures. BOOTH LIGHTS linkable LED lights are low-voltage, UL/CE-listed, and accepted at all major venues without special electrical orders.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many linkable trade show lights can I connect in one chain?
Up to 6 units per chain. Beyond 6 units, the cumulative power draw exceeds the safe capacity of the pass-through connector. For booths needing more than 6 lights, use two separate chains from two outlets.
Do I need special cables to link the lights together?
No. Linking cables are included with every BOOTH LIGHTS linkable unit. Each unit ships with one 50 cm inter-unit cable. Extension cables (100 cm) are available separately for wider panel spacing.
Can I mix linkable and non-linkable units in the same booth?
Yes, but only linkable units can be connected in a chain. Non-linkable units require their own individual power connection.
What happens if one light in the chain fails?
Units downstream of the failed light will lose power. Units upstream (between the wall and the failed unit) will continue to operate. This is standard behavior for series-wired daisy-chain systems.
