Spandex UK Summit connects sign, graphics, display and textile professionals through supplier demonstrations. Spandex’s UK materials guidance includes translucent films for illuminated applications. For indoor lightbox builders, this collection focuses on separating the film colour reference from approval of the complete illuminated sign.
Keep the film identity beside an illuminated assembly reference
Record the supplier’s film range and colour code, then identify the actual face material and approved lightbox sample separately. Keep a labelled physical swatch with the record. A colour code identifies a material choice; it does not specify how that material will look with a particular LED layout.
Check replacement faces against the tested lighting arrangement
For a replacement face, confirm the film reference and compare a representative assembled sample with the intended LED sources and viewing conditions. Record any material or construction change before accepting it. A phone image or swatch viewed without backlighting cannot by itself approve the finished illuminated result.

- 20W rigid edge-lit bar: 470×24×16mm including lens, DC24V, 2200lm ±10% and 10°×40° optics.
- 12W dual-CCT rear-backlight bar: DC24V, 1320lm, 180° beam and 3-wire JST; select the CCT pair and separate control.
- 10W slim edge-lit bar: 360×23×16mm including lens, DC24V, 1100lm and 9°×50° optics.
Does the same translucent-film colour code guarantee the same lit appearance?
No. The face, applied film and lighting arrangement work together. Verify the proposed combination with a physical trial and current component specifications. This collection does not claim BOOTH LIGHTS participation in Spandex Summit or compatibility with Spandex systems.
Before ordering
Verify DC24V, total load, pinout and polarity; external power is separate. The dual-CCT bar also requires a compatible 3-wire switch or controller, not included. The featured slim 10W bar permits at most 6 per run after wiring checks; do not apply that limit to other models.
