For MODULAP research, the main long-bar reference is an 18W, DC24V, 470mm edge-lit module. A historical 3W compact module and the current 6W compact option are different configurations; the 6W option requires a new load and spacing assessment.
Measure the usable frame depth, mounting sections and fixing points. Edge lighting, flexible backlighting and rear-mounted ladder lighting use different layouts. Test the selected optics with the actual fabric, reflector and spacing for edge brightness, a dark center and corner shadows.
Only after checking its input/output type, voltage, capacity, condition, connectors and wiring against the selected load. Calculate all connected wattages and confirm the feed points, cable rating, voltage drop and polarity.
Fix the selected wattage, color temperature, electrical configuration and connector. Test the actual graphic and installation before standardizing the design for repeated builds.
