A linear lamp spreads its LEDs along an elongated head, which can help illuminate a wide printed graphic. It does not guarantee uniform light or replace a fixed number of spotlights. Head length, beam angle, mounting distance and the surface all influence the result.
Know which kind of linear light you are buying
The Linear LED Display Light is an external front-lighting fixture with a 456mm head. Its current published specifications are 11W, 720 lm, a 60° beam, DC12V and overall dimensions of 435 × 456 × 40 mm. It uses 135 through-hole LEDs, an ABS clip mount and an included matched adapter with a DC barrel connection.
Its elongated shape does not turn the 60° beam into a 120° flood. It is also different from an internal edge-lighting bar: opaque graphics need light on the front, while a backlit light box requires suitable translucent print and an internal LED layout.
Set up a sample before deciding the quantity
Mount a sample on the real frame at the intended height and setback. Aim it at the graphic, then inspect the top, centre, lower edge and corners from the aisle. Test adjacent fixtures together so you can see both coverage gaps and overlapping bright bands.
- Bright top, dark bottom: review head projection, aim and beam coverage before increasing output.
- Dark outer edges: test spacing and outer-fixture positions. A longer head alone may not reach the full width.
- Bright bands between lamps: adjust aim and overlap, then check logo and text areas again.
- Reflections on glossy print: inspect from several visitor positions and move the source away from troublesome reflection paths.
Compare alternatives on the same panel
The 12W Graphic Panel Spotlight is specified at 1,200 lm with a 68° beam and adjustable aluminium clamp. The 21W Display Arm Light is specified at 2,400 lm with a built-in rear clamp; each uses its own adapter and this model is not directly daisy-chainable. Compare the actual result, mounting fit and cable needs, not the product category alone.
Keep colour and maintenance consistent
The linear model is ordered with one fixed colour temperature: 3000–3500K, 4200–4700K or 6500–6700K. Test brand colours on the printed material under the selected version and surrounding light. Do not infer lifetime or reliability from the LED package alone; inspect the clip, head, cable and adapter after each event and keep compatible spares.
Compare exhibition LED lighting and trade show booth lights after recording graphic dimensions, mounting position, sample results and the complete power arrangement.
