Measure from the actual light-emitting surface
For a rear-backlight layout, record the emitting lens surface and the inner face surface on the section drawing. For an edge-lit layout, record the source position at the frame edge and the face plane instead. The outside frame depth alone cannot describe either optical arrangement.
Record the assembly rather than inventing a universal gap
Include source orientation, front layers, retaining parts and support structures in the sample. Record the actual geometry beside observations of bright and dark areas. If the mounting position or face changes, repeat the complete illuminated review. Beam angles and bare-source lumen values do not establish a universal installation gap or finished-face uniformity.
Compare LED lightbox sources
- 20W rigid edge-lit bar: 470×24×16mm including lens, DC24V, 2200lm ±10% and 10°×40° optics.
- 12W dual-CCT rear-backlight bar: DC24V, 1320lm, 180° beam and 3-wire JST; select the CCT pair and separate control.
- 10W slim edge-lit bar: 360×23×16mm including lens, DC24V, 1100lm and 9°×50° optics.
Can an outer frame depth be used as the LED-to-face distance?
Not without checking the section. Frame walls, mounting surfaces, lens height and face support occupy that space. Use the actual source and face references for the selected model, then assess the complete sample; no minimum spacing is promised here.
Before ordering
Verify DC24V, total load, pinout and polarity; external power is separate. The dual-CCT bar also requires a compatible 3-wire switch or controller, not included. The featured slim 10W bar permits at most 6 per run after wiring checks; do not apply that limit to other models.
