The LCRIG Innovation & Learning Festival connects the UK highways and road-infrastructure community. This selection serves independent builders of indoor illuminated island-stand graphics, where several lightbox faces share one structure.
Give every illuminated face its own sample record
Mark the stand elevations and identify each printed face before comparing edge-lit and rear-backlit modules. Use the intended frame section, backing and printed fabric for each different face size. Review the assembled sample from the planned approach directions, with the proposed arches and column edges represented, so an accepted front view does not conceal an unsatisfactory side face.
Keep the face labels through assembly and graphic changes
Record the accepted LED arrangement, source-to-graphic distance, driver and graphic reference against each elevation label. Check that the installed components match the correct face before fitting its print. If a face width, backing or structural opening changes, repeat that face’s sample review rather than copying the neighbouring panel’s lighting arrangement.
Compare LED lightbox sources
- 20W rigid edge-lit bar: 470×24×16mm including lens, DC24V, 2200lm ±10% and 10°×40° optics.
- 12W dual-CCT rear-backlight bar: DC24V, 1320lm, 180° beam and 3-wire JST; select the CCT pair and separate control.
- 10W slim edge-lit bar: 360×23×16mm including lens, DC24V, 1100lm and 9°×50° optics.
Can one tested face establish the lighting layout for the entire island?
A sample supports the face construction and conditions actually tested. Different dimensions, backing surfaces or viewing directions require their own review. These modules are internal sources for independently designed indoor lightboxes; their use does not establish compatibility with a proprietary modular stand system or qualify them for highway lighting.
Before ordering
Verify DC24V, total load, pinout and polarity; external power is separate. The dual-CCT bar also requires a compatible 3-wire switch or controller, not included. The featured slim 10W bar permits at most 6 per run after wiring checks; do not apply that limit to other models.
Send the labelled island elevations, individual face dimensions, frame sections and fabric proofs to discuss suitable LED-module samples.
