SSSA Conference & Expo connects regional sign companies with industry suppliers. When sourcing internal LEDs for an indoor printed lightbox, review how the face-retaining parts sit between the light source and the graphic. Browse all LED Modules below, with edge-lit and rear-backlight options for different constructions.
Map retainers in the light path
On the actual frame section, mark the face lip, clips, fasteners and any backing pieces that hold the graphic. Record their position relative to the LED lens and visible print. Distinguish a dark area hidden by a designed border from a shadow extending into the visible artwork; adding wattage does not remove an opaque obstruction.
Inspect the face with the intended retainers fitted
After qualified assembly and wiring checks, examine the actual printed face with its intended retaining hardware fitted. Record shadow locations and photographs under consistent viewing conditions. If the hardware or source position changes, retain both drawings and repeat the assembled sample review before accepting the arrangement. Do not remove or weaken necessary fixings to clear the light path.
Compare LED lightbox sources
- 20W rigid edge-lit bar: 470×24×16mm including lens, DC24V, 2200lm ±10% and 10°×40° optics.
- 12W dual-CCT rear-backlight bar: DC24V, 1320lm, 180° beam and 3-wire JST; select the CCT pair and separate control.
- 10W slim edge-lit bar: 360×23×16mm including lens, DC24V, 1100lm and 9°×50° optics.
Will a higher-output LED bar remove a retaining-clip shadow?
Not reliably. A clip or lip can block the light path regardless of nominal LED output. Review the obstruction and intended geometry, then test the completed face with safe, suitable retaining parts.
Before ordering
Verify DC24V, total load, pinout and polarity; external power is separate. The dual-CCT bar also requires a compatible 3-wire switch or controller, not included. The featured slim 10W bar permits at most 6 per run after wiring checks; do not apply that limit to other models.
