In practice, ETL Listed and UL Listed are interchangeable at virtually every US trade show venue. Both marks are accepted by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and recognized by authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) across the United States and Canada.

Is ETL Certification Required at US Trade Shows?

How Do I Know If My Booth Lights Are ETL Listed?

Look for the ETL mark printed or embossed directly on the fixture — usually on the base, housing, or power adapter. You can also verify a product's listing status on the Intertek ETL database.

Be cautious of products that claim compliance without displaying the actual mark. "Meets UL standards" or "UL-equivalent" are not the same as being UL or ETL Listed.
