For an opaque printed banner, place an adjustable light above the graphic and direct it onto the surface. For a translucent graphic designed as a light box, plan the internal backlighting instead. The display construction determines the lighting method.
Choose a mount that fits the structure
Measure the top rail or profile and check the fixture's mounting drawing. A plastic-handle mount, C-clamp and T-slot adapter are different systems; being sold as a display light does not guarantee fit. Attach to the intended structural member, not fabric or decorative trim.
Check the added weight and arm leverage with the display manufacturer. A portable wall must remain stable after lights and cables are installed. Keep adapter and cable positions accessible without obstructing visitors.
Set coverage with the actual graphic
- Record graphic width, height, mounting height and lamp-to-graphic distance.
- Aim the beam onto the print, then check top, center, bottom and both edges from the aisle.
- Adjust head angle and spacing before adding fixtures. If several are needed, test the beam overlap.
- Check glare on glossy areas and compare printed colors under the selected white light and hall lighting.
A two-light kit is a pack quantity, not proof of full coverage for every 10 × 10ft booth. Graphic dimensions and mounting geometry matter more than the booth floor area.
A portable kit example
The portable LED graphic display kit includes two 11W lights, two adapters and one Oxford cloth carry bag in its 2-Pack. Each fixture is specified at 1100lm, a 60° beam, CRI 90+, DC12V and 480 × 144 × 48mm. It uses a plastic handle with dedicated mounting hardware; confirm fit before ordering.
Choose the ordered color-temperature option and destination plug. Do not assume the listed CCT ranges mean the fixture switches between them. Higher Kelvin values are not a universal requirement for a particular industry.
Pack the tested arrangement
- Photograph and label the approved lamp positions.
- Keep each light with its matching adapter and mounting hardware.
- Protect lamp heads and connectors in transport; allow fixtures to cool before packing.
- Check the venue's current power and mounting requirements before travel.
