Linkable LED Trade Show Lights — Daisy Chain Booth Lighting Systems
Linkable LED Trade Show Lights
Linkable LED trade show lights connect in series from a single power outlet — a wiring method called daisy-chaining. Instead of running individual cables from each light back to a power strip, you run one cable to the first unit, then short cables from unit to unit along your panel frame. The result is cleaner cable management, fewer floor hazards, and a more professional-looking booth.
How Daisy-Chain Wiring Works
Each linkable unit has two power ports: an input port (receives power from the previous unit or the wall) and a pass-through output port (sends power to the next unit). You connect them in sequence: wall outlet → Unit 1 → Unit 2 → Unit 3, and so on. All units in the chain operate simultaneously from the single wall connection.
Maximum Chain Length
Models specifically rated for this limit support a maximum of 6 units per chain at 100–240 V AC. This covers the most common booth configurations: a 10x20 inline booth typically uses 4–6 lights, a 10x10 booth uses 2–4. Limits depend on the exact model. A 6-unit limit applies only where specified; the 50W Tri-CCT configuration supports up to 10 fixtures. For 25W or other 50W models, check the product page. Respect the lowest limit of fixture, cable, connector, circuit and venue; use separate approved runs when needed.
Cable Management Advantages
With daisy-chain wiring, all inter-unit cables run along the top of your panel frame — out of sight and out of reach. Only one cable drops from the frame to the floor outlet. This eliminates the tangled power strip setup that makes booths look temporary and creates trip hazards for visitors and staff.
Venue Compliance
Most major trade show venues (McCormick Place, LVCC, NEC Birmingham, Messe Frankfurt) require that all electrical connections be made by licensed electricians or use pre-approved low-voltage fixtures. Specifications and certification vary by model. Check the listed connector, voltage, UL or CE documentation and current venue electrical rules before ordering service.

Example specifications; confirm the selected SKU, power supply and supplied cables: Max chain length: 6 units. Input voltage: 100–240 V AC. Connector type: proprietary locking connector (cables included). CRI: 90+ Ra. Color temperature: 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K. Cable length between units: 50 cm standard (100 cm extension cables available).
Frequently Asked Questions
How many linkable trade show lights can I connect in one chain?
Limits depend on the exact model. A 6-unit limit applies only where specified; the 50W Tri-CCT configuration supports up to 10 fixtures. For 25W or other 50W models, check the product page. Respect the lowest limit of fixture, cable, connector, circuit and venue; use separate approved runs when needed.
Do I need special cables to link the lights together?
No. Linking cables are included with every BOOTH LIGHTS linkable unit. Each unit ships with one 50 cm inter-unit cable. Extension cables (100 cm) are available separately for wider panel spacing.
Can I mix linkable and non-linkable units in the same booth?
Yes, but only linkable units can be connected in a chain. Non-linkable units require their own individual power connection.
What happens if one light in the chain fails?
Downstream lights may lose power if a fault interrupts the power-through connection; upstream lights may remain on. A failed fixture with an intact power-through connection may not affect other lights. This depends on the wiring and fault type.
