A modular fabric light box can be worth considering for a display used at several events. It does not automatically cost less or create less waste than a wooden booth. Compare complete designs and their planned use: a wooden structure can also be reused, and either design can use LED lighting.
Start with the structure and show plan
List the display dimensions, storage space, transport route and likely changes to the graphics. Ask the frame supplier about assembly instructions, permitted configurations, mounting points and replacement parts. Check whether the packed system fits your transport and whether your team can assemble it under the venue's rules. Do not assume that any aluminum frame is tool-free or compatible with every fabric graphic.
Compare the cost over the events you expect to attend
Include the frame, graphics, lighting, power supplies, transport cases, labor, storage, repairs and replacement graphics. Compare these costs over the same number of events. Record actual assembly time and damage after use rather than treating reuse or faster setup as guaranteed savings.
For energy comparisons, use the complete system's input power and operating hours. Material choice alone does not establish an energy or carbon saving. Describe any waste reduction against a defined comparison, including replaced fabric and packaging. Check local recycling options for each material.
Choose lighting components for the actual frame
BOOTH LIGHTS lists LED modules separately from the frame. The 12W/18W module for MODULAP fabric light boxes is listed at 470 × 23 × 16 mm, with a 9° × 50° beam. The respective listed outputs are 1,320 and 1,980 lumens.
The 45W light bar is listed at 958 × 23.9 × 16 mm, with a 14° × 47° beam and 4,400 lumens ±10%; its power rating is also ±10%. Both products use DC 24V and require an external constant-voltage power supply, which is not included. These listings do not constitute a complete frame kit or establish how many bars your display needs.
Test a representative section before ordering the full system
Use the intended fabric, printed graphic, frame depth and internal surfaces. Check the edges, corners, seams and dark printed areas for uneven illumination. Confirm physical fit, connector pinout, cable routing and access for replacement. Have the power supply, wiring and mounting checked for the application and venue; a 24V module does not remove the requirements for the complete electrical installation.
Keep the parts list and test results for the next event. A useful comparison rests on measured setup effort, lighting quality and repeat use, rather than claims about the material alone.
