Fixed-CCT and Tri-CCT booth lights can use the same fixture format and produce similar output, but they solve different purchasing problems. The better choice depends on whether your display remains consistent from show to show or changes with different graphics, clients and venues.
What is a fixed-CCT booth light?
A fixed-CCT fixture is manufactured for one color-temperature range. You select the required version when ordering and use that same light appearance at every installation.
- 3000K–3500K: suited to warm materials, hospitality, furniture and earth-tone graphics.
- 4200K–4700K: a balanced range for general corporate graphics and mixed product displays.
- 6000K–7000K: a cooler appearance used for technical, medical and high-contrast displays.
What is a Tri-CCT booth light?
A Tri-CCT model includes one built-in switch that changes between three color-temperature settings. The exhibitor makes the final selection after the light is installed; no controller or replacement fixture is required for the color-temperature change.

When fixed CCT is the better choice

When Tri-CCT is the better choice
- An exhibit house uses the same lighting inventory for different clients.
- Graphics, products or booth finishes change between events.
- The convention hall’s ambient lighting is unknown before installation.
- The setup crew needs to make the final visual adjustment on site.
Do not choose by CCT alone
Color temperature does not determine brightness, color rendering, beam coverage or mounting compatibility. Compare lumens, CRI, beam angle, arm reach, clamp design, certification and the model-specific linked-run limit separately.
