SEG Light Box Mounting Clip & Exhibition Booth Light Mount: The Complete Guide

An SEG light box mounting clip or exhibition booth light mount must match the actual frame profile, interface and load. SEG systems vary by manufacturer, and similar-looking extrusions are not necessarily compatible.

Separate the two lighting tasks

External arm lights illuminate graphics or products from the frame, while internal LED modules illuminate the fabric from behind. They can serve the same booth, but their mounting, power and thermal requirements are different.

Identify the frame profile

Record the SEG frame manufacturer and model when available. Measure the slot opening, internal channel, lip shape, wall thickness and clearance around the silicone edge graphic. A mount should not interfere with fabric installation or tension.

Understand M8 and other threads

M8 describes a metric thread size; it does not prove that a slider, block or bracket fits a particular SEG profile. Confirm thread diameter and pitch as well as the mating slider dimensions, engagement depth and orientation.

Check the complete load path

Evaluate the lamp head, arm, cable, adapter, fasteners, slider or clip and the extrusion itself. Longer arms increase leverage, so both the mount rating and frame manufacturer's limit matter.

Choose the correct mount type

A slot slider or T-nut requires a matching channel, an edge clamp requires an approved clamping surface, and a plate or adapter needs the correct hole pattern and fasteners. Do not substitute a close-looking part without measurements.

Install without damaging the graphic

Keep hardware clear of the silicone edge and printed fabric, protect finished surfaces, support the light during assembly and tighten to the product instructions. Some systems are tool-free; others require a specified tool or torque.

Test the assembled booth

Install the exact hardware before shipping, aim the light, route cables with strain relief and verify that adjustment does not loosen the mount or distort the frame. Recheck stability after transport and final setup.

SEG mount compatibility checklist

  • Frame manufacturer, model and extrusion profile
  • Slot opening, channel, lip and clearance measurements
  • Thread diameter, pitch and engagement depth
  • Lamp, arm and adapter load
  • Mount rating and frame structural limit
  • Fabric clearance and cable route
  • Complete assembly tested before the event
