A banner stand light mount or popup display light clip should be selected from measured compatibility, not the display name alone. Similar-looking stands can use different tubes, rails, panels and load limits.
Identify the display structure
Determine whether the light will attach to a round or square pole, a flat panel edge, a top rail, an extrusion slot or a manufacturer-specific bracket. Measure the actual contact area rather than relying only on the banner or popup model name.
Compare mount types
Clamp mounts grip a tube or edge, clip mounts suit lighter panel profiles, plate or adapter mounts use an existing interface, and slider mounts fit a compatible rail or extrusion. These types are not automatically interchangeable.
Measure the complete interface
Check tube diameter or profile width, panel thickness, jaw opening, clamping depth, thread size, slot dimensions and available clearance. Use the supplier's stated range for the exact mount; there is no universal clamp range for all displays.
Account for arm length and load
A longer arm creates more leverage at the mounting point. Evaluate the combined mass of lamp head, arm, cable and adapter, the mount's rated load and the display manufacturer's structural limit.
Protect the display surface
Use the specified pad or protective layer, keep the contact faces clean and avoid overtightening thin panels or finished tubes. A secure mount should not crush, distort or mark the display.
Install and test before the event
Assemble the exact light and mount on the real display, route the cable with strain relief, aim the lamp within the booth and check stability after adjustment. Retighten only according to the mount instructions.
Treat no-drill claims as model-specific
Some mounts are designed for tool-free or no-drill installation; others require an adapter, fastener or tool. Confirm the instructions for the exact product and do not modify the display without its manufacturer's approval.
